On March 9th I took the doors off the shop and rolled the completed framework outside and over to the main garage. It was too big to work on in the shop now. As you can see, the tail feathers are covered and the framework is complete up to the root tube. The rudder cables, elevator and aileron Teleflex cables are in place, and the seat belts are bolted in. I've been spending some time belted in, moving the stick and pedals around, and making airplane noises. Good thing there's no windshield yet, or I'd need a windshield wiper on the inside. PTHTHTHTHTHTHTHTH!
Here's the framework sitting next to the boat hull, ready to go in.
And here it is, sitting in the hull. It's starting to look something like a seaplane for the first time.
