The building begins! Here is the torque tube and the bottom seat frames bolted to the center cockpit tube. The control sticks will attach to each end of the torque tube. The horn sticking out is for the elevator Teleflex cable.
Here is the forward cockpit area with the rudder pedals, control sticks, and seats in place.
The Teleflex cables for the ailerons are connected to the sticks and the rear boom tube is attached. Some of the brace tubes are in place.
Here's a view of the tailwheel retract system. The cable going to the right unlocks the mechanism and pulls everything forward and up inside the hull. Very tricky to get set up and synchronized with the main gear. More on that later.
