Stringers, Motor Mount, More Fuselage Work
With the plane still on its back after installing the
belly pan, I ran the belly stringers.
I scratched my head for a while to come up with a good
way to hold the stringers in place until the covering went on.
Here's what I came up with.
Before I could work on the side stringers, I had to
get the engine mount in place. This plane will have the streamlined
back fuselage.
The side stringers in place.
Starting to look good...
A preview of things to come, using a bedsheet.
Test fitting the windshield.
This plane will have the "hard" doors, so
it needed door supports.
These will also act as the attach point for the custom
instrument panel I'm building.
